Hi ...
Big TMI fan ... and all things Shadowhunters
... Blame the girls at my favourite bookstore - they so know me! ... could see me buying everything available in the Shadow-verse!
C.C can thank T.L.C (as I call them) - or Teresa, Liz and Clare(-bear) for flogging me all her stuff ... my only disappointment: They don't come in hard cover ... yet!
I got on to it all after the first four books of TMI had been released ... but loved her writing style and the way she fills out her characters ... and pining for the next release.
At the end of the 6 book saga (and the 3 book TID series) ... I was left satisfied with the close - it wasn't rushed! ... but was also left with so many questions ...
What happened to my favourite couple - Simon and Isabelle? ... They seemed sort of ok and on the road back ... What would be come of Helen and Aline ... and Mark ...
I'm so glad we have TDA to look forward to ... and Tales of the SA to fill in some of the blanks (I can't wait for paper - so I've downloaded a Kindle App and the chapter releases) ...
... thank The Angel we still have a Simon/Isabelle thing going!! ... They'll be ok ... they will ... please? ... I hope!!
And so ... I was more than a little disappointed with the movie ... it all moved way too fast for my liking ... some of the characters were well cast - some were ... just, not!
Which is why I wasn't surprised to hear of it not doing so well ... I was thinking what it really needed - so we could enjoy the depth of C.C's complex characters - was TV.
... and Lo! ... My prayers are answered! (which is how I discovered this site btw). I didn't realise there was such a following! ... I don't instagram or tweet ... but I do love a good page/forum!
(No ... I don't do scrolls!) ... What a transformation!! - The cast - is as close to perfect as you're going to get (Looks wise) - the only notable absence being Alecs 'Lightwood-blue' eyes.
They are all amazing ... and passionate about what they are creating - which is the main thing!
... and I guess they'd have to muck around with the scripting/backgrounds (Luke a cop and the Police Station is not an old abandoned building) ... but all of that sort of thing is superfluous to me - as long as basic plot is followed and the characters stay in character!
We can't ever have it all our own way as fans ...
